Western Proppants (WP) is the only in-basin source for high-quality frac sand in southeast Wyoming. Located in Goshen County, Wyoming, we are also the only mine with close access to both the Powder River Basin and DJ Basin. With crush strength exceeding 8,000 PSI, WP’s products are suitable for all in-basin formations and applications.
PRODUCTION DATA HAS PROVEN THAT WELLS COMPLETED WITH WESTERN PROPPANTS FRAC SAND ARE AMONG THE HIGHEST PRODUCING IN THE BASIN.

CRUSH STRENGTH
Western Proppants 100M offers the highest crush strength regional frac sand in the Powder River Basin and DJ Basin. Over 8k PSI of crush resistance per API 19-C test procedures. Other “frac sand” in the basins are 4-6k PSI which will not withstand bottom-hole pressures. Western Proppant’s mine is the ONLY facility in-basin with an extensive history of Tier 1 production with MULTI-YEAR production data.
RAIL ACCESS
Western Proppants is located directly on the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) with multiple switch days per week. We can service any UPRR transload facility in the Rockies. We can ship material to any UPRR served sites.
STORAGE CAPACITY
Over 22,000 tons of available storage on site and 50+ years of proven proppant reserves. In addition to our onsite storage, Western Proppants can build and store product in locations that are logistically advantageous to its customers.
API TEST DATA
Our proppant meets API-19C Specifications and we have the independent laboratory tests to prove it. API test data is available upon request.

WP’s facility is capable of loading 200 truckloads per day for direct shipment to the wellhead. Operating day + night, 24/7/365. We’re here for you and ready to fill your trucks or boxes with no waiting.
